National Park Service - Starting with Yellowstone back in 1872, the United States was the first nation in the history of the world to have “national parks.” I served as a Law Enforcement Ranger for the NPS for several seasons. It was an experience that I will never forget. What an awesome history is behind the ranger wearing the campaign hat in our national parks.
